FlexGen
Introduction to FlexGen
Learn the FlexGen environment and terminology used. The
FlexGen dictionary is central to the whole system – learn
how to create and maintain Dictionary items. Using
the Dictionary, create a simple report and input form.
This course forms the basis of all other courses.

Advanced FlexGen programming
Further your knowledge and application productivity with
this course. Learn what escape points are available
in both the report writer module and the Forms & Windows
module, and how to use functions in your code to increase
productivity. The course includes lots of exercises
and examples!

Advanced FlexGen development
The FlexGen system has many options to create programs
outside of the standard models. Learn how to create
external sources, I/O modules as well as functions.
Find out how to use global data types and input validation
to preserve data integrity. The course also covers
the U/SQL interface.

FlexGen GUI development
Discover the many new options available to you to modernize
your application appearance, using the FlexGen window
Dialog or Extended Dialog modes. This course will provide
you with the knowledge to use well-known Windows controls,
such as check boxes, radio buttons and tab controls.
The coding required will be covered in detail.

FlexGen Administration and Utilities
Learn how to install and upgrade the FlexGen software,
including the FronTier thin-client interface. The myriad
of System Administration and configuration functions
and utilities available, as well as the available system
reports, will be covered.

U/SQL fundamentals
Learn to install and upgrade the U/SQL software, creating
and maintaining the Data Dictionary (UDD) and security
options available.

U/SQL User
Targeted to users of the U/SQL software, that will
not require in-depth knowledge of installation or
configuration
of the software. This course will cover SQL syntax
and an introduction to using U/SQL with the most
common Front-End
application tools.

U/SQL support
Targeted to Technical support staff of U/SQL. Learn
more on first-line troubleshooting, licensing,
connecting
and verifying data returned. The course includes how
to read the U/SQL log file and ODBC trace files. Lots
