TCA 3.20 / TDS 3.20 - released November 2006

Highlights of this release include:

TCA 3.20
- Support for HTTP requests from COBOL components
- Asynchronous service calls from Java
- Support for BLOB data types within COBOL and HTTP requests
- Tool for updating SDL files without restarting the Component Broker
- Tool for updating Server Settings without restarting Component Broker
- Specify namespaces for C# Proxies

TDS 3.20
- Macro processor improvements to support macro changes to Java and COBOL

TCA 3.20.0100 - released May 2007
This is a maintenance release. The changes over the initial release of 3.20 are:
- Windows Vista Enhancements: TCA admin applications will now request elevation to run as

administrator
- XML/SOAP handling: Now copes with ISO-Latin-1 characters (previously would only deal with US-

ASCII)

TCA 3.30 - estimated release date of January 2008

Plans for this version include:

- Publishing Wizard to facilitate deployment of SDL and components
- Browser-based TCA Administrator
- Statistics, managing services, logging component usage to determine, license usage, shared memory

requirements, check performance
- Starting a component as another user.
- .NET Starter Forms

U/BL 5.05 - released June 2006

U/BL 5.06 - estimated release date of November 2007
Plans for this version include:

- UBi enhancements:
   PrintPassThrough
   Cursor positioning on INPUT
- ASC statement: implement BBASCPRECISION
- SQL Access: GETCURSORS command
- U/BL command to get the IP address of the client.
- Allow ENTER on SDOS statements that are supported in UBL mode
- Document - How To Use ssh in U/Gi
- GUI enhancements :
   Support for JPEG
   Right-click on a HOTSPOT
   Add flag to WMAKE to create drag-able UGi windows
   HOTSPOTATTR command
   GUIX 85 option to maintain aspect ratio of images in GUIX 60
   Support MFKEY 25-34
   Header on menus in GUI mode
   PGUP and PGDN in menus in GUI mode
