Transoft Support U/SQL Adapters 4.0

Version 4.0 of Transoft U/SQL Adapters (formerly known as Transoft U/SQL Client-Server) is a major release, which includes the option of Transoft U/SQL Enterprise Join Engine (EJE) and a new online Help file, that describes all aspects of Transoft U/SQL Adapters functionality and usage.

Briefly the key highlights of Transoft U/SQL Adapters 4.0 are:

Transoft U/SQL Enterprise Join Engine (EJE)
EJE allows you to use an ODBC or JDBC interface to access heterogeneous data sources within your organization - even when some of the data sources may be non-relational legacy data - as a single database view.

This capability can deliver significant benefits, widening your ability to leverage business intelligence from the data locked up in your organization, simplifying enterprise application integration (EAI) projects, and demystifying data access for non-technical users.

The Transoft Enterprise Join Engine is an additional licensed module of Transoft U/SQL Adapters and Transoft U/SQL Gateway Adapters.

New architecture for the Transoft U/BL BB-ISAM data source driver
This uses the same file I/O library as Transoft U/BL 5.00, therefore, providing Large File Support, that, is, support for BB-ISAM files that are larger than 2 GB. However, on Windows platforms, Transoft U/BL 5.00 must be installed first before Transoft U/SQL Adapters 4.00 for BB-ISAM can be used.
New online documentation
The documentation has been fully revised and is now distributed as a single Windows compiled online Help file, USQL_help.chm, which is available either on the CD or from the Transoft ftp site. The entire Help file is also available as a 'pdf' file, so it can be printed easily.
