Transoft
Component Adapters 3.0 for Web services
The release of version 3.0 of the Transoft Component
Adapters (TCA) consolidates and builds on the support already
provided in TCA for Web services. Support for Web services
is now generally available, whereas it was previously offered
on an as required basis. With TCA 3.0 you can easily expose
your legacy business logic or rules and data as reusable services,
complying to Web Services, Microsoft .NET and J2EE architecture
standards.
By exposing your core business systems as Web
or Java services using TCA you can rapidly introduce improved
IT-based business processes into your organization. Extending
the access to your legacy systems through Web-based interfaces
or XML-based data exchange now means you can easily enhance
the way you do business with your customers and trading partners.
At the same time you can extend the reach of your systems
internally, providing your users with mobile computing options
or more intuitive methods for accessing and operating your
current applications.
For further information on what Web services
are, the benefits, and how Transoft Component Adapters 3.0
can deliver them, read the whitepaper

J2EE (Java proxy) and .NET (C#), and also SOAP for Java
- Connector support for J2EE Java Connector Architecture
(JCA), available on request
- Connector support for non-Web services C# clients
- Ability to retire and re-enable component instances programmatically
- Contexts may now be shared between Service Description
Files (SDL) files

for more than the default of one CPU, will specify the number
of CPUs.
