Barry Graham, Business Development Manager, Capgemini
Arriva London is the largest bus operating company in London. It runs more than 1,500 buses a day from 14 garages.
Arriva London needed to move its bus management systems – including applications that manage bus and staff scheduling, revenue accounting and mileage – off the HP e3000 legacy mainframe, which was nearing its end-of-life. Arriva, and its long-standing managed services supplier, Capgemini, chose Transoft to migrate these critical bus management systems to an open and more flexible Windows 2003 environment. Transoft used its Legacy Liberator toolset to automate the migration process and hence shorten delivery times, minimize costs and ensure the quality of the migration.
