Transoft ‘Do-It-Yourself’
Migration Tool Set for HP e3000 Users
The Transoft Legacy Liberator tool set is now available as a complete, easy-to-use Windows-based migration solution for HP e3000 users. It allows you to undertake your own application migrations to new UNIX, Linux and Windows environments at your own pace and with lower migration costs.
It can even help you if you have already partially prepared your applications for migration but are struggling to convert one or two aspects of your applications, such as the JCL, or the VPLUS screens. Transoft Legacy Liberator can be purchased as a complete tool set or separately so you can purchase just the tools needed to convert specific components of your applications. It automatically converts COBOL programs to UNIX or Windows COBOL compilers and VPLUS screens to Windows, browser or character-based user interfaces. JCL can be emulated or converted to Korn shell, or VB script, and IMAGE and KSAM data is converted to Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
Transoft provides two consulting packages to help set-up and steer the project to a successful outcome. The Transoft Pathfinder Service helps you plan for a migration project by providing detailed analysis of all aspects of your applications and how they impact the migration. In addition, it provides a migration road map, a detailed migration project plan and resource requirements. The Transoft Migration Fast Start Service provides on-site training in the use of the migration tools and ongoing mentoring to help you overcome any hurdles in the migration project.
