Transoft Graphical Adapter (TGA)
The proven Transoft Graphical Adapter (TGA) product
is now available on the HP e3000 platform. It
automatically converts your VPLUS screens on the HP e3000
into JSP,
ASP .NET and Microsoft Visual Basic forms, and then
provides
seamless integration between your existing programs
and the new user interface. In a matter of minutes
you can
create a new user interface for your HP e3000 application,
without changing a line of code!
How
does TGA work?
TGA is simple to implement and is
technically very elegant.
Getting started couldn't be easier, just provide
TGA with your VPLUS FormSpec files. TGA uses the
FormSpec
files to create a new XML definition of your VPLUS
Forms, from which it generates the new graphical
forms. You can choose to generate either Java JSP
forms, Microsoft
ASP.NET forms or Microsoft Visual Basic forms.
TGA allows you to use pre-defined style sheets
in the generated forms, so you can give the new
screens the
design you want. You can modify the generated screens
using the forms development tool of your choice. So long
as you keep the same fields and logic flow on the form
you won’t have to change the program code which
uses the form.
Having generated and customized the new forms you simply
invoke the TGA runtime on your MPE environment and your
existing programs will now reference the new screens
rather than VPLUS screens. It couldn’t be simpler!

Transoft Screen Adapter
Also now available for HP e3000 users is the Transoft
Screen Adapter. This enables business rules within
HP e3000 applications to be exposed as Web services,
or
Enterprise JavaBeans, also without changing the application.
The integration of Java and .NET applications with
the HP e3000 applications is greatly simplified, reducing
the cost and time to deployment of new Web, mobile
or
packaged applications.
