Paul Holland, Transoft Inc CEO, on JavaOne Panel

June 2003 - Paul Holland participated in a panel discussion at this year’s JavaOne conference in San Francisco.

The session was entitled ‘Using Java technology to migrate the enterprise’. With Paul on the panel were Brian Down from Sun Microsystems, Chuck Townsend from LegacyJ and Ron Nunan from Attachmate Corp.

Despite being a conference focused on the Java world, the panel discussion was very well attended (approx 60 people) and the audience had several good questions. As you would expect many of the questions centered on the conversion of legacy applications to the J2EE architecture. In addition many attendees were interested in how to connect Java applications to legacy systems.

This panel discussion is another example of the importance of the evolution of existing applications in today’s IT environment. The fact that Transoft was represented on the panel shows Transoft’s position of authority in providing products and services which help organizations to evolve new solutions from existing applications.
