Logical
and Transoft Partner to Streamline HP e3000 Server Migrations
Companies join forces to help e3000 user
base make transition, take advantage of full breadth of
current server capabilities and maximize IT investments.
July 17 , 2002 - Logical Networks, Inc., a professional
services and IT network integration company, today announced
their partnership with application transformation specialist
Transoft, Inc. to facilitate corporate migrations from
Hewlett-Packard e3000 servers to new platforms over the
next two years.
“HP e3000 servers have had a loyal following over
the past three decades and now that the e3000’s
are reaching end of life, Logical is partnering with Transoft
to arm customers with the necessary tools to effectively
navigate the challenges they face in transitioning to
new platforms and expanding server capabilities to include
wireless and web services,” said Jeff Reed, PhD,
executive vice president of Product Marketing, Logical
Networks, Inc. “Together, we can demonstrate how
companies can make a migration work for today -- and tomorrow.”
“Current e3000 users are presented with many choices
when considering a server migration and companies need
to do as much as possible with shrinking budgets,”
said David Roth, vice president, Transoft. “We specialize
in working with the HP interface and in joining forces
with Logical, we provide the application expertise during
a migration while Logical provides the operating system,
hardware and infrastructure proficiencies.”
“As HP’s largest reseller, Logical is uniquely
positioned to assist HP e3000 server users with migration,”
said Bill Carter, HP vendor director at Logical. “Working
with Transoft, we create a solution of products, processes
and people to offer current HP e3000 server users the
opportunity to maximize their IT expenditures--taking
full advantage of the latest technology while preserving
legacy system investments.”
