Transoft
Announces Partnership with LANSA to Enhance LANSA Commerce
Edition
LANSA Chooses Transoft
Screen Component Adapter as Preferred Application Integration
Solution
October 22, 2001 - Transoft, a leading
international provider of application transformation,
integration and assembly products and services, has announced
a partnership agreement with LANSA Inc., a leading provider
of e-business, Wireless and advanced graphical application
development tools and solutions for IBM eServer iSeries,
UNIX and Windows platforms. Through the arrangement, the
Transoft Screen Component Adapter solution can be incorporated
with LANSA Commerce Edition product to create fully integrated
e-business applications in a shorter time.
The Transoft Screen Component Adapters are part of the
Transoft Intelligent Adapter product set and provide a
fast-to-implement, non-intrusive way to connect to the
"screen-flows" of terminal-based applications
to provide component-based services. These adapters have
all the advantages of component architectures, including
performance and scalability ¾ without the disadvantages
of traditional screen-scraping methods.
LANSA Commerce Edition is a suite of Business-to-Business
(B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) components that allows
companies to rapidly generate e-business applications
that integrate existing iSeries RPG and COBOL applications
with the Web and Wireless world. LANSA Commerce Edition
elements are built upon LANSA's powerful and award-winning
LANSA for the Web tools.
By adopting the Transoft Screen Component Adapters as
an application integration solution, LANSA Commerce Edition
customers can ensure seamless and scalable integration
between the new e-business applications and their existing
core-business systems. Transoft has developed a specialized
package of 'Fast Start' installation, training and deployment
professional services, which aims to complete the first
phase of integration with LANSA Commerce Edition in less
than one week for any customer.
"LANSA is a leading provider of e-business solutions
to the iSeries market and we're delighted that it's chosen
Transoft as its integration partner for LANSA Commerce
Edition," said Paul Holland, Transoft's chief executive
officer. "Seamless and scalable integration with
existing core business applications is critical to any
successful e-business application implementation. The
combination of LANSA Commerce Edition and Transoft's adapters
delivers a complete e-business solution."
"We found that some of our customers do not have
pre-built integration points to their legacy systems,"
commented Bill Benjamin, vice president of business development
at LANSA. "The Transoft solution will allow those
customers to more easily implement LANSA Commerce Edition
by providing an easy way for them to access their legacy
ERP applications using Transoft Screen Component Adapters.
This is an important partnership that will help some of
our customers implement their B2B and B2C solutions more
rapidly."
