Decision Support and Transoft Alliance Offers Cross-Platform Data Access and Web Services Platform for Legacy Applications

November 27, 2001 - Decision Support Inc., innovator in disparate data integration, reporting and decision support tools and services to the mainframe and open systems market, announced today that it has formed a reseller alliance with Transoft, a leading international provider of application transformation, integration and assembly products and services. The agreement grants worldwide resale rights to Transoft for Decision Support's DQpowersuite(R), a robust set of real-time, cross platform data access and reporting tools. The agreement gives Decision Support's customers access to the Transoft Intelligent Adapter product set, which enables organizations to use standards-based interfaces, such as XML, Java Beans(TM) and COM to access business logic and data within legacy applications.

Transoft Vice President of Business Development, Dave Roth, said, "The addition of DQpowersuite technology will enable Transoft to expand our services into the Unisys markets, and will enhance the performance of our applications that pull data from multiple, disparate data sources, including IBM mainframes and open systems platforms such as Unix and NT servers."

Transoft Intelligent Adapters enable existing critical functions in mainframe business applications to be easily exposed and re-used as application and Web services to facilitate the creation of new, scalable, integrated business and e-business applications. DQpowersuite provides simultaneous access to islands of mainframe and relational data previously trapped within disparate data platforms, and features DQbroker(R), a fully-distributed cross-enterprise data access engine that enables enterprise-level metadata to be universally shared and dynamically managed across the enterprise.
