Transoft and Broker Focus Provides One of the First Online Sharebroking Systems in Ireland

November 22, 2001 - Transoft, a leading international provider of application assembly, transformation and integration products and services, and Broker Focus, a premier provider of online and back-office brokerage software systems, have formed a partnership to provide internet and wireless capabilities to the financial services sector. The system has now been implemented in Merrion Stockbrokers, an early adopter of online sharebroking systems in Ireland.

Broker Focus' software was originally purely a back office multi-currency accounting, settlement and portfolio management system. As financial organizations are increasingly conducting business over the Internet, Broker Focus needed to provide e-business capabilities to meet growing customer demand. By employing the Transoft Language Component Adapter, Broker Focus was able to build reusable application or Web services from their proven back-office software to be incorporated in a new Web-based, high performance, scalable on-line trading solution. This approach not only dramatically reduced development time, but also ensured seamless integration between the new Web application and the back-office systems.
