Jensen Distribution, based in Washington state, distributes
44,000 hardware products to retailers in 10 states round
the North West of the US. The thing that differentiates
them from their competition is the quality of their service.
Jensen processes about 4 million order lines a year, the
vast majority received electronically, so the computer
systems are vital in maintaining high standards of customer
service.
Over the years Jensen had developed in-house a suite
of mission-critical applications on a DG MV15000, tailored
for their own business demands. They wanted to move these
application to open systems and tried a package solution
but it couldn't replicate the functionality. They were
determined that their customers would see absolutely no
reduction in the quality of service - Transoft's migration
solution ensured the transition was completely seamless.
