The second largest merchant bank in Canada, and the seventh
largest in the US, CIBC World Markets depends on the reliability
and efficiency of its information systems to supply critical
data to its trading desks to help the traders implement
complex funding scenarios and to counteract market risk.
Because each trading group in the bank had evolved its
own data systems the need for an enterprise application
integration solution became apparent. CIBC needed a means
to access the data at a low level, manipulate it, and
move it to other applications for a multitude of processing
requirements. Transoft U/SQL Adapter provided those capabilities,
expediting critical bank applications and making information
available in an efficient and timely manner.
