Banco Caja Social

Replacing an entire core business system is a monumental task, nearly always filled with risk and pitfalls. However, in order to meet ongoing customer needs, Banco Caja Social of Bogota, Colombia, knew that this modernization was going to be a fundamental part of their business strategy. The bank's overriding goals were to become more efficient internally, to modernize the branches and to be able to offer more integrated products and services such as automated tellers and telephone banking.

Meeting these goals required replacing the entire in-house developed legacy core business system; however the project would be constrained by the need to maintain the current system in good working order while instituting the new. Co-existence was critical. Banco Caja Social called on Transoft to provide assistance with the design and implementation of this complex enterprise application integration project.
