Transoft has successfully completed an application migration project for Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, one of the UK's premier contractors in the design, supply and construction of overhead transmission lines and underground electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Working with Balfour Beatty in Derby, Transoft moved the critical product design application from the DEC VAX OpenVMS legacy mainframe to an open and more flexible Windows environment. This has ensured that Balfour Beatty continues to enjoy its competitive benefits and an increasing return on its investment. In addition, no retraining for users was required.
